Guido, I’m really enjoying listening to your podcast. I’m in Merrimack, NH, so I’m only about an hour away from you. The story about your mom was terrific and heartwarming. I can definitely relate to those “mom issues”! The only suggestion I would make for your podcast is to consider not having yourself (or others) speak over the music. It’s a little bit harder to understand you with the music in the background. Or perhaps, you could just turn the music volume down a bit. Otherwise, LOVE your show. I’m sorry for Pumpkin’s loss. We’ll miss you and look forward to hearing your next episode.

Thank you for sharing the story about your Mom and the sincerity in your voice while you told it. I too had a similar, deeper “re-connection” with my Mother because of knitting a year ago. It only gets better….sharing projects and ideas. I’ve found a lot of the garments I design now are just to impress her. Best of luck to you and keep up the great work with the PodCast!

I listened to your podcast while driving home from work tonight :-) I was thinking about your knitting bag difficulties, and I have some suggestions. First, for needlecases, try emailing poozar at yahoo dot com. Her name is Sara and she sells needle cases she makes on eBay (her name there is Fizzlechick). I really like mine and I believe I read that she is willing to customize fabric and I bet she could even put velcro on instead of the normal ribbons. The other suggestion was Jordana Paige’s knitting bags. I don’t know how you feel about messenger style bags, but she has a couple that are really gender neutral. Plus, they have spots for a lot of tools. Anyway, that is what I’ve seen. Oh, and you were talking about BagSmith bags too. I’m not sure which one you were referring to, but KnitPicks did sell a couple of them, if you haven’t yet, check out their selection and see if they have the one you want.

I’ve been thinking about your bag issues from the last episode. It sounds like what you really want is a Kate Spade diaper bag – no joke, they’re great bags, and they don’t look like diaper bags. But, I’m not suggesting that’s the route you take, but you might want to look at the Jake Spade bags – lots of pockets, masculine, might be what you’re looking for.

And, as for needle cases – have you seen the really cool clear cases?

I thoroughly enjoyed this weeks episode. Keep the stories coming. I really liked your story about your mom. I can totally relate to missing the closeness you had growing up and I could hear and feel the longing to have that back. I have been able to achieve that with my mom but it took a long time.
I would love to see a picture of the sweater your mother knit. I can only hope to be able to be that good of a knitter someday to try to knit some of my family stories into a wearable.
And the music! I’m not really an explorer in other music area’s. I know what I like and I tend to stick with it. I loved every song you played today which will help me broaden my music horizon.
I’m off to Podsafe Music to find out more about these artist’s and see if I can find more to listen to.
