I didn't know how to say it exactly...

But I am looking for knitting resources that take into account environmental factors in their proccess. So places that make bamboo or hemp and are taughting the fact that these fibers may have a smaller environmental foot print than cotton and perhaps wool.

Which animal fiber has the smallest environmental impact.

This kind of stuff...

Environmental Knitting Sensitivity? Could you expand on this? I really have NO IDEA what you're talking about here.

Money well spent: Yarn estate sales; Membership in a local handknitting guild. (To get inside info on the afore-mentioned yarn estate sales and/or discounts at LYSs. Woot! Woot I say!!!

I envy you a little bit, that you get to travel from one state to another with such ease. We here in TX have to plan a day trip to visit a different state.

Have a great Passover/Easter. God bless you!

I just subscribed this morning and so I am not caught up yet. I love the show so far. I haven't tried a sock yet as I just learned how to knit. My pointy sticks currently have 2 scarves and a mess of what was supposed to be a bag using a basketweave stitch. I still need to get started on some dog sweaters to clothe the poor collies who have been or who are currently in a rescue group and have had to be shaved. (Poor naked babies). I am looking forward to our Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival on the first full weekend in May. I wonder if I can knit a dog sweater out of Collie fur??? hmmmmmmm

I used to live in Waltham (I went to Brandeis for college), and I always contemplated going to the sheep shearing festival at Gore Place. But last I looked there was an admission fee that I wasn't willing to pay if I didn't know that I was going to have a good time. I am looking forward to hearing if you found it fun/interesting.
