tightly knit podcasters

I am at podcamp this weekend. I am learning about how to make my show better. The people here are great and really excited about knitting , I think I have made a few converts.

The biggest lesson pushed here is that you should communicate with your audience. So I wanted to let you know that I love all of you and can’t wait to do the next show tonight. Also, please send me feedback so that I can know more about you.

More yo come tonight, when I am at a real computer and not just writing from my treo.

Here’s some communication: you RULE! I’m so glad to have met you in person, and thrilled every time I saw your smiling face around the event. You are truly the Official Knitter of PodCamp.

Are they pushing communication DURING the podcast (through the podcast) or via e-mail/blog? Just curious, no particular reason…

Love that you added the intro back in that you and your brother recorded!

Communication is a two way street. If I can’t be consitent about when I put the show out, I should let you know. Most listeners are understanding but need to know what I am up to.

The other street is that I should try to understand who is listening and why… This may not be the same for me because I am not ready yet to try and monetize my efforts.

I do this for fun and look forward to a larger audience, but at the end of the day I can only be me and I want my show to reflect that… And if you don’t like me or my show, I am happy to tell you about other knitting shows.

Does that clear it up? ;)

    Guido-
It was great meeting you at podcamp! In fact, I have gotten home, and just did a chart to incorporate the podcamp logo into a hat. Can’t wait to knit a few! You are the best! Hope to see you at Stitches East- let’s xchange info and get together – let me buy you lunch/dinner/coffee something!

It was GREAT to meet you at PodCamp. And I totally forgive you for knitting during my presentation. *grin* I mentioned the big knitting event to my wife and she might come.

Hope our paths cross again soon.

    Guido,

Thank you for blessing me with your presence during podcamp – you are truely a natural interviewer – the way you pose the questions blend elegantly with your follow up questions and comments – you certainly have a very bright future ahead of you!
