And the winner is…

I would like to thank everyone who submitted a poster design. There were many of you and it was awesome to see the out pour of support for my little Today Show Project.
Our winners, yes it was a team effort, are Tanya (from Italy) for her design and Kristen(from Chicago) for her design help in putting together our Poster for the Today show romp. You can see all the submissions here.

having been seen on the today show once in my life (briefly!), my advice is to try and anticipate where they’re going next. I was surprised by how few people are actually there (always looks like a lot on tv, and that they don’t stay in the same spot to film the whole time. when i was there, they moved between two primary spots- it might pay to stake out the one that’s empty (before they use it or in between segments) so you’ll be in front while they are filming. if you’re animated and have a sign, they will let you up front.
for the unfortunate bit, I’m stuck working all day tomorrow, but am going to try to make it to FIT to see the ol’ harlot. email me if you want to meet up, or i’ll send back my cell #. mb2571@columbia.edu. Yay yarn! I love the sign, btw.

I’ll be watching for you, and the poster, tomorrow morning as soon as my TV alarm goes off. (Yes, I use my TV as my wake-up.) Since that’s as close as I’m going to get to being there - 5,000+ miles and a 4-hour tape delay away. (At least I don’t have to get up at 3am to watch.)
Have fun! Maybe you can get Matt to knit! Although it would probably easier getting Al to knit.

Wohooo!
That is so awesome. You are going to get tons of airtime with that.
Great effort and hope you have fun tomorrow.

I’m watching the Today Show and I see your sign right now!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I just turned it on a few minutes ago) I saw all of you and your knitting!!! I was so excited!!! Yay for representing!

I got a quick pan of the sign (and the “Harlot’s Horde” right next to it). The disadvantage of a 4-hour tape delay today was the Special Report interruption for John & Elizabeth Edwards’ news conference.
Oh well, at least I saw it, and you were right up there!!

Peek a boo- we saw you! And Harlot’s Horde- too;)
hope the day was wonderful!

I saw you! I taped you! I screen capped it! I’m blogging it tonight! YAY!

[…] THURSDAY Well we made it down to New York in crazy good time. But we left really late. Bill dropped me and the kids off in Central Park 15 minutes late. And the big sock photo had already been taken. But we got to sign the big banner that Guido organized and then chat with a few folks including Woolybuns. Ella, the social butterfly she is, enjoyed showing off her knitting to everyone. […]
