But we left really late. Bill dropped me and the kids off in Central Park 15 minutes late. And the big sock photo had already been taken. But we got to sign the big banner that Guido organized and then chat with a few folks including Woolybuns. Ella, the social butterfly she is, enjoyed showing off her knitting to everyone. I was surprised by how few people are actually there (always looks like a lot on tv, and that they don't stay in the same spot to film the whole time. when i was there, they moved between two primary spots- it might pay to stake out the one that's empty (before they use it or in between segments) so you'll be in front while they are filming. if you're animated and have a sign, they will let you up front. for the unfortunate bit, I'm stuck working all day tomorrow, but am going to try to make it to FIT to see the ol' harlot. email me if you want to meet up, or i'll send back my cell #. mb2571@columbia.edu.
