I love your podcast and I really enjoyed your interview with Jackie. She and I think somewhat alike.

I had some thoughts about why some people are so anti-knitting.

1. Some folks feel threatened if they're not the center of attention. I have one aquaintance who always gives me a hard time about knitting at his house because he thinks I'm not paying enough attention to him. He just doesn't understand that it is what makes me comfortable wherever I am and I can carry on an intense discussion with out dropping out of the convo or dropping a stitch. I don't give him a hard time for having a beer in his hand all the time now, do I?

2. Some folks don't like the noise that needles make, clicking together, in meetings, movies, etc.

3. Deep down inside the writer is jealous that knitters have this pleasant, relaxing hobby and can make such cool stuff in their spare time but he can't. He tried to learn how to knit several years or several decades ago and just couldn't get the hang of it. Or maybe he's just afraid to try.

Pick your favorite, but I but it's #3

I really enjoyed your interview with Jackie. It was a privilege to listen to her. She sounds like a teriffic resource of knitting and business knowlegde. Also appreciated the bonus of you telling her how you began to knit.

Hey Guido,

What a great idea for a live show! I hope it was fun for you! I think that column writer is bitter about knitters (along with the rest of the world) probably because he was shunned from groups as a kid, and now carries that grudge in adulthood to all groups.

Looking forward to this upcoming b-day show!

Hi, Guido!

I loved the latest episode. Long-time yarn shop owners are the best. They have so much history and insight to share, and generally have a great sense of humor. I'd love to hear more chats just like this.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I was just tickled that you played my promo and that you got my humor from it. Having chickens, that wander out to my garden, just seemed right.

Fun to hear you live!

Best to you!
