Go to the Inaugural:

Martha’s Vineyard Fiber Fest
April 19, 2008
at the New Ag Hall in W. Tisbury
The event will run from 10:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.

If you are doing a day trip from Boston or other points in Massachusetts my friend Alanna is organizing a trip. There is also a weekend package if you are interested that can be found on the fiber festival website.

I am still collecting entries for the 50 episode drawing which will now include fun toys donated by my friend Hapto, some books, and some fiber…. To add yourself to the entries please comment on this episode letting me know when you have added a review to Google Maps for your LYS (I will believe you because fiber people are an honorable sort, right). If you would like to learn more about how to do the Google map edit thing please check out the Google Tutorial(it’s not as cool as my demo, but it will do).

Finally, if you would like to record an intro for my 50th episode, or record your version of the purl man song I would be happy to play it on the 50th episode. Please send it to me at podcast[at]itsapurlman[dot]com.

oh yeah…

11:00AM EST

There will be a live drawing for some good stuff that was not included in the big drawing.

  1. FYI

This was the first phone interview and no matter what Susan says… it sounded pretty good to me.

  2. Hey Purl Man! Thanks for all the kind words! And the review too.
SPUNKY?? I think I like it!
Next time you’re in BMore come visit; the shop is much bigger and the selection is too. And I won’t even ask to be interviewed this time, I promise.

  3. Way to go Lori… I am happy that someone took me up on my google maps quest. also, looks like a cute shop, maybe someday I will be able to visit.

  4. Hey Guido,
Hope you have fun on your knitting retreat. Geral Bailiy Homestead Farm has lots of fiber and I think you spin, right? I used to have a catalog, but I have no idea where it is. I’ve never been to their store, but I’ve bought things from them before.

  5. Guido,
Thanks for the directions on the google application — I added a review for Marin Fiber Arts in San Rafael, CA (across the bridge from that other Albany)! Great interview…

  6. Hi Guido, Love your podcast! I mentioned I live in Wisconsin but am moving this summer and your podcast has been tremendously helpful in my attitude about moving to another place. Boston sounds quite yarny indeed, which makes me excited to move.

Anyway, I just added a review for my favorite LYS here in the Madison, WI area: The Sow’s Ear in Verona, WI. It’s a coffee & yarn shop and I will miss it dreadfully when we move.

  7. Thanks so much for taking the time to go through the edit feature in Google maps. I looked up one of my LYS and their hours weren’t right. I fixed them and wrote a nice review. I feel so helpful!
