Needles We Like
Squee of the week/News
Hey folks… The Boston Globe has an article about men who knit and I got included. It’s very exciting to be a part of the group of people they featured and to have all my knitting projects listed… I am super thrilled.
On this weeks show I get to talk with Leslie Ann the new author of Cast On, Bind Off. Leslie Ann is a teacher who has just published her first book, and it’s a lot of book on a topic that comes into play with every knitting project.
If you are interested in hearing more about this book feel free to check out the other great posts along the yarn

This episode was put together in a On this episode created in a very busy crafty week. Tuesday included a trip to see Brenda Dayne of Cast-On at WEBS. Wednesday included a talk by Tara Swiger about her new book and marketing craft hosted by Gather Here. Friday rounded out the week with a talk by Clara Parkes at The Common Cod Fiber Guild. Lots of great talk about craft, memory, marketing, and passion.
In my final remarks at the end of the show I mention the following:
In some ways it seems that the question “Have I pod faded?” is an obvious thing. I mean, I have not put out a new show in a long time. But, it’s not that simple. I have been planning and recording things in the meantime, it’s just that for many reasons all this work has not seen the light of day. So, while others are clear about my pod fading status, I am unsure and unwilling to say that my knitting podcast is dead.

On today’s show Kimberly Reynolds and I talk shop about Stitches East. She is a super social media mover and shaker working for XRX(which BTW has finally started to make their website user friendly). She is very excited about the upcoming events.
Also, I am offering up an awesome haloween inspired project bag from my friend Sue at Lovely Yarns in Baltimore. Listen to the show to find out how to enter the drawing.
You Rock!! No really… You Rock!!
What I mean to say is, the best part of hanging out with you is that knitters, spinners, weavers, dyers, crocheters… the whole lot of you totally rock. You as a group are creative and playful and always learning new things. It is so very exciting to learn and create with you.
As the weather cools in Boston and I contemplate the lessons from todays Rosh Hashanah services I am thinking about joy and miracle of our ability to learn new things. As my Rabi reminds me, being able to say “Who Knew” is wonderful thing…
You have inspired me to learn more, read more, play more with fiber, and hand out more. My time with you is always fun and exciting. You have give me the energy to keep coming back to this podcast, this web page, and to this project.
Yes, I am coming back soon. Yes, I miss you. Yes, I have a lot of old and new recordings to share.
I will have new shows up soon. I will not podfade completely. I will be sharing the knitting life I lead here in Boston with you again soon.
Until then, I hope you know… You Rock!!
